Robert M. Ben
Robert Ben graduated from the Faculty of Law of the University of Toronto in 2002 and was called to the bar in 2003. He also graduated from the School of Social Work at York University in 1999 and the Faculty of Arts and Science program at the University of Toronto in 1995.
Robert dedicates his practice to advocating for children and adults who are victims of a brain, spinal cord or serious orthopaedic injury, as well as those who have suffered wrongful death.
Robert brings a unique perspective in his representation of personal injury victims; having spent the early part of his legal career defending large insurance companies against personal injury claims. That experience, coupled with his training as a social worker, helps him to achieve results for his clients. Robert has appeared as counsel on a wide range of disputes in jury and non-jury trials in the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, as well as on appeals in the Court of Appeal for Ontario and the Supreme Court of Canada.
Robert is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada, the Advocates’ Society, the Canadian Bar Association, the Toronto Lawyers Association, the Canadian Civil Liberties Association and the Ontario Association of Social Workers.
